Semi Final 1 - World Cup 2019 : India vs New Zealand Preview: On one of the biggest cricket battle of Cricket world cup 2019, India is battling with New Zealand. This is one of the most waited match and both the teams will play for the win and pride of their countries. Game On!

Semi Final 1 - World Cup 2019 : India vs New Zealand Preview
India will be favorite to win the battle against New Zealand

Form favoring India while statistics favoring New Zealand

Indian batsmen are in tremendous batting form specially Rohit Sharma. Rohit Sharma has made 5 centuries in this world cup and because of his brilliant 100, India won last match against Sri Lanka by 7 wickets very easily and reached to the top of the points table.

Rohit Sharma has made 647 runs in current world cup and he is just short of 27 runs short from the highest runs in any ICC world cup. Currently Sachin Tendulkar holds that records with 673 runs. Not much far, hmm!

Talking to the other batsmen, K L Rahul is also looking in good form and has proved himself a good opener in this world cup. At number 3, there is a most reliable batsman of the world, King Kohli. Yes, Kohli is tremendous with the bat and has made 5 consecutive fifties in this world cup. Yet he hasn't scored a century in this world cup.

But here comes the headache for team India, middle order. Yes, India is facing issues with middle order as middle order batsmen failed to impress at many occasions. Mahendra Singh Dhoni is not looking in that touch he is known for and his slow batting is at the aim on many of the critics. Also Kedar Jadhav is failed to impress. Rishabh Pant and has shown some spark but still not that much reliable in middle order. So this will be the biggest issue for team India. Hope, they should have to bat more. Top order please listen to us. :)

Between Kedar Jadhav and Ravindra Jadeja there is a slight more chance of Kedar Jadhav to be selected as bowling of Kedar Jadhav gives one more option to bowling department and also India will get the bowling action benefit of Kedar Jadhav on this slower pitch.

Bowling of Indian team is top class in this tournament. Jasprit Bumrah is in superb form and doing bowling tremendously. He is currently number one bowler in the world and performing like a gem for India. Jassi took 17 wickets in 8 matches. On the other hand, Shami is doing also good job. He has proved himself whenever he got chance. He also took 14 wickets in just 4 games.

So this was the little discussion about Indian team now let's talk about New Zealand. New Zealand started really well in the tournament and was on top of the table for some times. But in the last 3 games New Zealand is looking down and quite not up to the mark. Though their bowling attack is more balanced then Indian bowling attack, batting seems problems for them some times. Just like Bumrah, Trent Bault and Locky Freguson are dangerous for India.

Head To Head

In world cup, India had played 8 matches in world cup against Kiwis. In these 8 games India has won 3 games while New Zealand is just upper with 5 wins. But that is past and matches are won on the performance of present. So India will have the upper hand looking the present form in this game.

Venue Weather and Pitch

Venue: Match will be played at Manchester.
Weather: Weather at Manchester could be cloudy today and also there is a possibility of rain. Finger crossed.
Pitch: Pitch could be batting friendly. This is the ground where India beat Pakistan and West Indies. The team, batted first has won the matches at this ground. Average score of batting first is 323 runs. So expect rain of runs on this ground as both the teams have some clouds ready to fall.

So that's all for now and we will come back again for one more news post after the match to discuss whether India will raise the world cup before this 15 August 2019. Stay tuned for more.
